Our client is looking for a Systems Engineer. As a Solution Engineer, you’ll be on the forefront of ensuring their cutting edge capabilities are effective and remain future fit. This involves understanding business requirements, experimenting, formulating solutions, communicating your solutions, and driving solution implementation.  You’ll also be across configuring and modifying speciality tools, adding new functionality, supporting vendor applications running on our servers and helping us move to the cloud.

You’ll have a solid Systems Engineering background, a technical foundation built on all things Linux, with the ability to configure and solution across a variety of tools in an enterprise environment, supported by the ability to review code in a support and modification perspective. You’ll embrace future technologies and being the Automation team identify opportunities to automate where possible allowing you to tackle the next opportunity. As a starter for success, we’d love some of the following skills and experience:

• Linux System Administration – RHEL preferred
• Scripting skills using languages like Bash, PowerShell or Python
• Oracle database skills – setup, configuration, basic DBA tasks
• Support – including servers, F5 load balancing, certificate renewals, storage capacity
• Java Application Server and JBoss preferred will be head-turners for us.

The location of the role is in Auckland.
