Our client is looking for a Senior API & Integration Engineer. This role focuses on developing standard patterns and templates that allow quick development of scalable, performant, secure, high-quality, fast-to-deliver and maintainable APIs, Web Services, Event Processors, and Integrations. In addition, you will engineer consolidated platforms and fundamental APIs, Web Services, Event Processors, and Integrations that are used by multiple product teams. Detailed key responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, develop, test, document and deliver new and amended software applications based on agreed requirements and/or user stories in conjunction with business stakeholders, analysts, the API & Web Services Manager, the CI/CD Product Manager, Technical Test Manager and Software Engineering lead 
• To work as part of a product team and take an active role in determining the technical roadmap for the supported 
• To work with Solution Architects in the support of and (where appropriate) definition of architecture relevant to your product team
• To contribute to the creation of high-level estimates for the purposes of sizing larger scale initiatives of work related to your product  
• To provide detailed estimates related to the build of software features, user stories and technical 
• To create strategies for the measurement, control and elimination of technical debt as part of ongoing product enhancement
• Collaborate directly with the stakeholders in the definition of User Stories and other requirements artefacts for delivery through and agile / lean product team 
• To be responsible for your own code quality using extensive automated testing by TDD and BDD approaches. 
• To gather metrics to analyze current effectiveness and to use as a basis for continuous.

The location of the role is in Auckland.
