Our client is looking for a Network Implementation Engineer.  Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years experience with field-based work in data centers, huts and colocation facilities managed by 3rd party vendors
• Experience working with optical networking technologies
• Ability to travel as required.

Preferred qualifications:

• Understanding of networking and fundamentals of network troubleshooting at both Layer1 and Layer 3
• Detailed knowledge of fiber types and their application; physical fiber characteristics; and standard testing tools (OSA, BERT, OTDR)
• Advanced troubleshooting of DWDM and Routing systems. Proficient in DWDM and Routing topology and architecture, can serve as a resource for other teams
• Network Capacity Planning
• Understanding of network transport design, equipment and infrastructure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The location of the role is in Fort Worth.
