Every iPad operates using an Apple ID.
When an iPad is set up, it is signed into an Apple ID. That Apple ID provides access to the iCloud account associated with the device.
AlwinBridge™ uses the iCloud storage that is already connected to the Apple ID currently signed in on the iPad.
There is no separate iCloud account required for AlwinBridge™.
How stories are stored
When you add or create a story in AlwinBridge™, the story is stored within the iCloud account associated with the Apple ID on that iPad.
This means:
- Stories remain connected to the Apple ID that manages the device.
- Stories are available on other devices using the same Apple ID.
- Stories benefit from Apple’s existing iCloud infrastructure.
AlwinBridge™ does not require you to manage storage separately. It uses the same iCloud environment already active on the device.
Storage and capacity
Every Apple ID includes iCloud storage.
If additional storage is required, Apple provides options for increasing capacity. This process is managed directly by Apple, in the same way as photographs, documents, and other personal content.
AlwinBridge™ simply uses the available iCloud storage associated with the device.
Control remains with the Apple ID holder
Because stories are stored in the iCloud account associated with the Apple ID signed into the iPad, they remain under the control of the person managing that Apple ID.
Some families use a parent’s Apple ID on a child’s iPad. Others create separate Apple IDs for children as they grow.
AlwinBridge™ operates within whichever Apple ID is currently in use on the device.
This ensures that stories remain part of the digital environment already established for that iPad.
A stable foundation
Using iCloud provides a stable and widely supported storage foundation.
Stories created today remain part of the Apple ID’s iCloud storage, benefiting from the same continuity and reliability as other personal content stored there.
AlwinBridge™ focuses on organising and presenting stories in a meaningful way.
iCloud provides the underlying storage environment.
